Calculate the bundle price
Bundle price = genuine standalone total × (1 − discount rate)
Add the prices customers can actually pay for the included products separately. Do not add an invented reference price or a seller’s unsupported “total value.” The saving shown here is only the difference between your entered standalone total and the computed bundle price.
A worked example
Three illustrative products priced at $40, $30 and $20 total $90. A 20% discount gives a $72 bundle and an $18 saving. With a 4% fee, a $0.30 fixed charge, no refunds, $25 acquisition cost and no other entered costs, contribution per bundle is $43.82.
The minimum cost-covering price in that example is ($25 + $0.30) ÷ 0.96, about $26.35. It leaves no buffer for missing costs or profit. The maximum break-even discount against $90 is about 70.72%; it is a mathematical boundary, not a recommended promotion.
Account for costs a download still has
Use the final cost field for costs allocated to one bundle order, such as support, delivery tooling or the share of a launch’s fixed costs. Keep payment fees and acquisition costs in their own fields so they are not counted twice.
Minimum price = (fixed payment fee + acquisition cost + other per-order costs) ÷ (1 − fee rate − refund rate)
If fees and refunds retain no revenue, a usable minimum price cannot be calculated. If the required price is already above the genuine standalone total, no break-even discount is available under the entered assumptions.
Covering costs is only one pricing question
A buyer must also need the included tools, understand the license and be able to use the file formats. A higher bundle value does not follow automatically from putting more unrelated files into a ZIP.
Kajabi’s digital-product pricing guide discusses costs, audience and offer structure. This calculator tests the arithmetic; it does not estimate willingness to pay.
Compare acquisition and refund scenarios
Use the CAC calculator to replace acquisition assumptions with recorded spending, and the refund impact calculator to compare the amount returned after a launch.
What this tool does not include
Results cover only the entered costs and assumptions. Tax, financing, exchange rates, unentered support or production costs and the value of your time are excluded. This calculation does not verify market demand or guarantee income.
